DroidFile Manager Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DroidFile Manager handles information. DroidFile Manager is an Android app for browsing, opening, moving and organizing the files stored on your device. It works on your phone or tablet, and we do not run any server that receives your data.
1. We do not collect your data
DroidFile Manager does not collect, store or transmit personal information. There are no accounts to create, no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs and no tracking identifiers. The app has no backend, so there is nowhere for your data to be sent.
2. Files and permissions
To work as a file manager, the app needs permission to read and write the files on your device. Depending on your Android version, this is the storage permission or the All files access permission. That access is used only to list your files and to run the actions you ask for, such as opening, copying, moving, renaming, compressing or deleting a file. Your file names and file contents stay on your device.
3. Information we do not collect
We do not collect or upload any of the following:
- Your files, documents, photos, videos, audio or their contents.
- File names, folder names or storage paths.
- Contacts, messages, call logs, location or calendar data.
- Advertising identifiers or device identifiers used for tracking.
- Usage analytics, behavior profiles or personal accounts.
4. Information stored on your device
The app saves small preferences locally, such as sort order, view mode, theme, bookmarked folders and the last location you opened. This information stays in the private storage of the app on your device. Clearing the app data or uninstalling the app removes it.
5. Internet access
File management in DroidFile Manager does not depend on an internet connection, and the app does not send your files anywhere. If you open or share a file with another app, that app takes over from that point and its own privacy policy applies.
6. Google Play and crash reports
The app is distributed through Google Play. Google handles installs, updates and the reporting features of the platform under its own policies. If your device is set to share crash reports, we may receive technical details such as device model, Android version, app version and the stack trace of the crash. Those reports help us fix bugs and are not intended to include your files or personal information.
7. Third-party services
DroidFile Manager does not include advertising networks, analytics providers or third-party trackers. Apart from distribution through Google Play, no third party receives data from the app.
8. Security
Because your files never leave your device, their safety depends mainly on the device itself. Keeping Android updated and using a screen lock is the best protection. Please note that deleting a file with the app removes it from your device, and we cannot restore it, since we keep no copies.
9. Children's privacy
DroidFile Manager is a general purpose utility. It is not directed to children, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
10. Data requests
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on our side. To remove everything the app keeps locally, clear the app data in Android settings or uninstall the app.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
