Cacomi Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cacomi handles information when you use our macOS application and related website. Cacomi is designed to help developers analyze source code and app binaries for unused code, exposed logs, hardcoded secrets, insecure URLs and other security-related issues.
1. Local-first analysis
Cacomi is designed to perform analysis locally on your Mac whenever possible. Files, source code, app binaries, scan results and generated reports are processed on your device and are not intentionally uploaded to our servers by the app.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not intentionally collect or store the following through the Cacomi app:
- Your source code.
- Your app binaries, including IPA, APP, APK or AAB files.
- Hardcoded secrets, API keys, tokens or credentials detected during scans.
- Generated PDF reports.
- Project names, file names or code contents.
3. Information stored on your device
Cacomi may store app preferences locally on your Mac, such as selected settings, interface preferences, scan configuration or recent app state. This information is used only to provide and improve the local app experience.
4. App Store purchases
If you purchase Cacomi or subscribe to a paid plan through the Mac App Store, payment and subscription processing is handled by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple may provide us with limited transaction information necessary to validate access to paid features.
5. Website analytics
Our website may use privacy-respecting analytics or basic server logs to understand general usage, such as page visits, browser type, approximate region, referring pages and device type. This information is used to improve the website and is not used to access your source code or app binaries.
6. Crash reports and diagnostics
If you choose to share crash reports or diagnostics through Apple or macOS, we may receive technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version and crash details. These reports help us fix bugs and improve reliability. They are not intended to include your source code, binaries or secrets.
7. Third-party services
Cacomi may rely on Apple services for distribution, purchases, subscriptions, crash reporting and diagnostics. Those services are governed by Apple's own privacy policies and terms.
8. Data security
We take privacy and security seriously. Cacomi is designed to minimize data collection and keep sensitive analysis results on your device. However, no software or transmission method is completely secure, and you should avoid sharing sensitive scan results publicly unless you have reviewed them first.
9. Children’s privacy
Cacomi is intended for developers and professional users. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
